Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation, with the Sacrament of Baptism and the Sacrament of the Eucharist, is one of the Sacraments of Initiation. To be fully initiated into the Catholic Faith, the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary.

Confirmation ratifies our Baptism, roots us more deeply in love, unites us more closely to Christ, increases in us gifts of the Holy Spirit and binds us more deeply to the Church.

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation under normal circumstances occurs during the 8th grade year of Faith Formation. This sacrament is performed by the Bishop after the Candidate has received full preperation occuring in either Summer Program Formation or Monday Night Faith Formation. Included in the Formation for Candidates for Confirmation are one weekend retreat, active participation in the parish and special classes for the Candidates to learn more about the Sacrament of Confirmation. For more information about preparation for the Confirmation of Youth please view our page regarding Confirmation Preparation and then  contact the Faith Formation Office.

Adult Confirmation

The adult Confirmation program is designed for adult Catholics (age 18 and older) who have been baptized, have received First Communion and are practicing their faith, but have not celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation.  To inquire about Adult Confirmation, contact the Faith Formation Office.
